Mac Java Ld_library_path
The Java Service Wrapper includes a native library component, and thus requires that the location of that library be specified by passing its location to the JVM using the java.library.path system property. Normally when Java is launched and a library path is not specified, the JVM will default to using the system PATH on Windows and the LDLIBRARYPATH on UNIX systems to locate any native. Oct 17, 2012 The Java library path is initialized using the PATH (on Windows) and LDLIBRARYPATH (on Linux, UNIX) environment variables. Set these variables to include the directory that holds the desired library, and then restart MATLAB. This may require admin privileges. This sample code consists of a Java program named mac.java. For reference, a copy of the sample routine is shown in Figure 1. Another sample program named RNG.java is included with the distribution at the same location, but is not copied here because it is a very simple JNI reference exercise to call the Random Number Generate verb. How Library Search Paths Work. OS-Specific Library Search Paths. If you are having problems, you should manually set LDLIBRARYPATH. Mac OS X Dynamic libraries on OS X have the concept of installname. Basically, shared libraries have a full path hard-coded into them when they are built, and when executables link against the library, they.

How to Load a Java Native/Shared Library (.so)
There are several ways to make it possible for the Java runtime to find and load a native shared library (.so) at runtime. I will list them briefly here, followed by examples with more explanation below.
- Call System.load to load the .so from an explicitly specified absolute path.
- Copy the shared library to one of the paths already listed in java.library.path
- Modify the LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variable to include the directory where the shared library is located.
- Specify the java.library.path on the command line by using the -D option.
1. Call System.load to load the shared library from an explicitly specified absolute path.
This choice removes all uncertainty, but embeds a hard-coded path within your Java application. Example:
2. Copy the shared library to one of the paths already listed in java.library.path
To view the paths listed in java.library.path, run this Java code:
Note: My iphone and mac itune libraries arent synced. The java.library.path is initialized from the LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variable.
Ld Library Path
The loadLibrary method may be used when the directory containing the shared library is in java.library.path. To load 'libchilkat.so', call System.loadLibrary('chilkat'), as shown below.
Copy iphoto library to another mac. So it might be a good idea to store them on the dedicated external drive. One of the reasons is because photos and videos can quickly fill out your hard drive. Another possible reason is when you want to switch to a more recent Mac version. How do you move your iPhoto library to another location?

3. Modify the LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variable to include the path where the Chilkat shared library is located.
For Bourne Shell, K Shell or Bash, type:

For C Shell, type:
4. Specify the java.library.path on the command line by using the -D option.
